PROJECT ECUADOR LLAMA GENERAL MANAGER
Lafarge built a new cement plant (700,ooo t cement per year) in our Otavalo plant (Ecuador) with a turnkey awarded to a Chinese supplier / contractor. JAIC validated all designs produced by various engineerings as per our specifications including conformity to Ecuador rules and regulations JAIC performed these verifications for all civil, structural concrete and structural steel. JAIC also performed design of some of the elements of our projects. JAIC insured site inspection during the 18 months of construction and solutions to difficulties / variations encountered by the contractors. JAIC acted at all times as a professional engineering with a perfect understanding of the contractors and the owner needs, as well as helped insure a smooth interface between all parties in an international environment (detail engineering done in China for a client in Ecuador with client technical forces in Canada). It was our pleasure to work with JAIC and we certainly recommend highly their services for any national or international industrial project.

Para nosotros -como diseñadores arquitectónicos y constructores de la fábrica de productos lácteos Floralp S.A., localizada en la ciudad de Ibarra, Ecuador – fue de mucha ayuda haber contado con la colaboración profesional del Sr. Ing. Carlos Jaramillo Vinueza – Presidente de JAIC Cía. Ltda.- quien aportó con eficiencia y oportunidad en la solución estructural de toda la fábrica.
La obra tuvo una duración de dos años y consistió en la construcción de varias edificaciones: edificio administrativo, sala de máquinas, taller de mantenimiento y la ampliación de la planta de producción. El diseño estructural, realizado por JAIC, comprendió estructuras tanto en concreto estructural como metálicas.
Consideramos a JAIC como una empresa seria y responsable por lo que recomendamos a ella, sin lugar a dudas, para la realización de este tipo de edificaciones industriales.

In 2007 representing Lafarge Corporation for Llama project I was reviewing the structural design by CBMI consulting office from Tangshan City in China. The design by CBMI according to the North-American Standards specified in the Project Design Criteria has been carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Carlos Jaramillo, P.Eng. and Mr. Santiago Guaman, P.Eng from JAIC. Lafarge Corporation was very satisfied with the quality of the design and compliance with the Project Design Criteria. After completion of the design for Llama project in 2008 I recommended JAIC structural services to developers in the Republic of Mauritius. JAIC has been awarded the complete structural design for a luxury condominium development. The design has been carried out according to the British Standards/Eurocodes and the developers were very satisfied with the design quality, project execution time and quick redesign response to address architectural requirements and modifications.
On these projects JAIC proved that it represents a very high design standards, very good knowledge of different design codes and adeptness to the requirements of the projects.
